About this game
Brawl Guys is a top-down arena shooter that borrows the look of the big mobile hero brawlers and boils it down to a quick browser match. You run around a walled map, trade shots with rival brawlers and race to scoop up gems before anyone else can.
Made by another developer and hosted on Brainlag.
How to play
Type in a name, choose a mode and the game drops you into an arena after a short countdown. The rival brawlers are computer-controlled, but they carry player-style names, chase you down and shoot back, so every match feels busy from the first second.
In Gem catch, gems are spread across the map and the first brawler to collect 30 of them wins. You move in eight directions and fire with Space. If your health runs out you get a 'You Are Dead' screen and have to wait five seconds before you respawn and get back to collecting.
When you win, the victory is added to the Trophies Won counter on the main menu. Matches are short, which makes it easy to say 'one more' and try a different approach.

Tips
- Treat Gem catch as a race, not a fight. Every gem you pick up gets you closer to 30, while a kill only slows one rival down for a few seconds.
- The five-second respawn wait is the real cost of dying. When you are ahead on gems, back away from even trades and let the bots chase you instead.
- Diagonals are just as fast as straight lines, so hold two keys together (for example W and D) to cut across the map toward a cluster of gems.
- Turn to face a target before you press Space. Spraying shots while you run past an enemy mostly hits empty floor.
- When two bots are busy shooting each other, use the moment to clear the gems around them rather than joining in.
FAQ
Are the other brawlers real players?
No. Even though the game shows a 'Looking for a session...' screen and the rivals have player-like names, they are bots run by the game. That means you can start a match at any time without waiting for other people.
Can I play on a phone or Chromebook?
It needs a keyboard, since you move with the arrow keys or WASD and shoot with Space. It works well on a Chromebook or any laptop, but it is not set up for phones and tablets here.
How do I win more matches?
Keep moving toward the gems, avoid long shootouts, and stay alive. Dying is what loses most matches, because you sit out five seconds while the bots keep collecting.
