About this game

Color Tunnel sends you racing down a bright, endless tube while blocks and barriers rush toward you. You cannot slow down, so the whole game is about sliding around the walls of the tunnel to find the open lane in time. It looks calm at first and gets frantic quickly.

Made by another developer and hosted on Brainlag. This game also connects to: Unity (game engine services).

How to play

You move forward on your own the moment a run starts. Your only job is to steer: moving left or right carries you around the inside of the round tunnel, so the floor can become a wall or the ceiling as you rotate. Obstacles appear ahead, and you need to be in a gap when they reach you.

Hitting an obstacle ends the run. The further you get, the higher your score, and the tunnel speeds up as you go, so later sections give you much less time to react. Along the way the game announces when you level up, and the colours and patterns of the tunnel keep shifting.

Because every run starts from the beginning, improving is mostly about reading obstacles earlier and turning less. Short runs mean you can try again instantly after a crash.

Tips

  • Look past the nearest obstacle to the next one. If you only react to what is right in front of you, the faster sections will catch you mid-turn.
  • Make small corrections. Over-steering is the most common way to crash, because you slide past the gap and into the next block.
  • When two gaps are open, pick the one closer to where the following obstacle leaves its opening. Planning one step ahead saves a long rotation later.
  • The bright colours can make solid blocks and open space blend together at high speed. Focus on the shapes of the gaps, not the colours.
  • On the keyboard, tap the arrow keys instead of holding them down. Short taps give you fine control, while a held key spins you a long way around the tunnel.

FAQ

Can I play on a phone or tablet?

Yes. It has touch controls, so you can steer left and right on the screen instead of using the arrow keys.

Does it get harder?

Yes. Your speed builds up as the run goes on, so obstacles arrive faster and you have less time to line up with each gap.

How do I get a higher score?

Survive longer. Stay near the middle of the visible gaps, steer early rather than late, and avoid big sweeping turns once the tunnel starts to speed up.
