About this game
Cookie Clicker is the idle game that started a genre. You click a big cookie, spend your cookies on grandmas and farms that bake for you, and before long the numbers grow so large they need new words.
Made by another developer and hosted on Brainlag. This game also connects to: Google Fonts.
How to play
Click the big cookie to bake cookies by hand. Spend them in the store on the right on buildings, which bake automatically every second. The list starts with Cursors, Grandmas, Farms, Mines and Factories and climbs through Banks, Temples, Wizard towers, Shipments, Alchemy labs, Portals and Time machines to stranger things like Antimatter condensers, Prisms, Chancemakers, Fractal engines, the Javascript console, Idleverses, Cortex bakers and You. Your production rate is shown as cookies per second.
Upgrades appear above the buildings once you qualify for them, and they multiply your clicking or a building's output. Golden cookies pop up at random on the screen; clicking one gives a big lump of cookies or a temporary boost. Later, sugar lumps let you level up buildings, which unlocks minigames: the Garden on Farms, the Stock Market on Banks, the Pantheon on Temples and the Grimoire on Wizard towers.
Once you have baked a lot, you can Ascend from the Legacy button. This resets your cookies and buildings but gives you heavenly chips that power permanent prestige upgrades, so each new run goes faster than the last.
Controls
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| Left click | Click the cookie, buy buildings and upgrades |

| Ctrl + O | Open the import save box |
| Options menu | Export, import or save to a file |
Tips
- Buy upgrades before more buildings when you can afford them. An upgrade that doubles a building you own fifty of is worth far more than one extra building.
- Always click golden cookies. Frenzy-style boosts multiply your production for a short time, which is the best moment to buy expensive things.
- Do not ascend too early. A first ascension once you can earn a decent pile of heavenly chips feels much better than a tiny one.
- Spend your first sugar lumps on the buildings that unlock minigames. The Garden and the Grimoire both pay you back over time.
FAQ
Does it save my progress?
Yes. It autosaves to this browser about once a minute, and Ctrl + S saves straight away. Because the save lives in this browser only, use Export save or Save to file in Options if you want to move to another device or keep a backup.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Everything is tapping and menus, so it works on touch screens, though the store is easier to read on a larger screen.
Is there an end?
Not really. There are achievements and upgrades to chase for a very long time, and ascending restarts your run with permanent bonuses, so you can keep going as long as you enjoy it.
