Fruit Merge
Nice break. Ready to get back to it? Back to study
About this game
Fruit Merge is a drop-and-merge puzzle in the style of the watermelon game. You drop smiling fruit into a box, matching fruit squash together into a bigger one, and the pile slowly creeps toward the top. It is relaxed until it suddenly is not, which is exactly why one more round is so tempting.
Made by another developer and hosted on Brainlag.
How to play
Fruit appears at the top of the box. Move it left or right to choose where it falls, then let go to drop it. Physics does the rest: fruit rolls, bounces and settles against whatever is already in the box.
When two identical fruit touch, they merge into the next, larger fruit in the chain. There are eleven sizes in all, starting from small fruit and working up through bigger ones like pineapple, coconut and melon to the watermelon at the top. Bigger fruit take up more room, so every merge both clears space and makes the pile chunkier.
Every merge adds to your score, and larger merges are worth more. A preview shows which fruit is coming next. The round ends when the pile stays above the line near the top of the box, and your best score is kept for next time.
Controls
| Key | Action |

| Release | Drop the fruit |
| Touch | Drag with your finger and lift to drop |
Tips
- Keep your biggest fruit along one side of the box, ideally a bottom corner. Building outward from a corner leaves room in the middle for new drops.
- Check the next-fruit preview before every drop. If the next fruit can merge with something already in the box, leave a clear path to it.
- Do not bury a small fruit under bigger ones. Small fruit trapped at the bottom are the main reason the pile grows out of control.
- Try to set up chain merges. If a merge creates a fruit that sits next to its twin, it merges again straight away, which clears a lot of space at once.
- When the pile nears the line, stop chasing big merges and use small fruit to fill low spots until you have room again.
FAQ
Does it save my progress?
Your best score is saved in this browser, so it is still there next time on the same device. A round in progress is not something to count on after you leave, and clearing site data resets the best score.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Drag your finger to position the fruit and lift it to drop. It plays just as well on touch as with a mouse.
Is there an end?
There is no final level. A round lasts until the pile stays over the line, so the goal is to beat your own best score, and reaching a watermelon is a nice milestone along the way.
