Icy Purple Head
Nice break. Ready to get back to it? Back to study
About this game
Icy Purple Head is a one-button physics puzzler set in a snowy forest. You guide Icy, a cheerful little ice block, through levels packed with fans, springs, teleporters and spikes, and the only thing you control is when to let him go. Timing a single tap so that he sails exactly where you meant is very satisfying.
Made by another developer and hosted on Brainlag.
How to play
Icy starts each level held on a wooden stick. Click, tap or press Space and the stick flicks him free, sending him tumbling and sliding through the level under real physics. Your aim is to get him to the finish without touching spikes or spinning blades.
The levels are built from gadgets that change his path. Fans blow him along, springs and bounce pads launch him, teleporters move him from one spot to another, speed boosts and slides throw him further, and sticky surfaces catch him so he can stop and wait for your next tap. Some levels include checkpoints marked with a flag, so a mistake late in the level does not send you all the way back.
There are 30 levels, unlocked one after another from the level menu. Hitting a hazard fails the level, and you simply restart and try a different moment to tap.
Controls
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| Left click / Tap | Release Icy from the stick |
| Space | Same as clicking |
| Restart button | Try the level again |
| Pause button | Pause or return to the menu |
Tips
- Watch one full cycle before you tap. Many sticks, platforms and wheels move in a loop, and the right moment to release is easy to spot once you have seen the pattern.
- Think about where Icy will be after the first bounce, not just the first jump. Most levels are solved by landing on a spring or sticky surface that does the rest of the work.
- When a sticky platform catches Icy, you get a free pause. Use it to look at the next section before you tap again.
- Fans keep pushing Icy for as long as he is inside their airflow, so where he enters the stream matters as much as when you tap. If he keeps falling short, try a release that carries him through the middle of the air current.
