About this game

Jelly Truck is a physics driving game where your truck is made of wobbly jelly. It squashes over bumps, bounces off ramps and leans in ways a normal truck never would, so getting it to the finish in one piece is half skill and half comedy.

Made by another developer and hosted on Brainlag.

How to play

There are 20 levels, and each one you finish unlocks the next. Drive from the start to the finish line over hills, gaps and ramps. Fall into a pit or hit a fail zone and the level ends, but you can restart straight away.

Your score comes from two places. Pickups along the route add points, and they are worth more the earlier you grab them. There is also a time bonus that starts at 1000 and counts down while you drive, so a quick run keeps more of it.

At the end of a level your score and bonus are compared with a target for that level, and you earn one, two or three stars. Your best score and stars are kept for every level, and the menu adds them up into a total score. A couple of levels hang the truck from a balloon, where Up lifts you and Left and Right push you sideways.

Tips

  • Tilt is your best friend. When you take off from a ramp, tap Left or Right in the air so the truck lands on its wheels instead of its nose or roof.
  • Ease off before big drops. Full throttle over a crest throws the jelly body forward and often flips it on landing.
  • Since the time bonus drains while you drive, a clean steady run beats a fast one with three restarts. Speed only pays when you stay on the course.
  • Pickups are worth more early in a run, so do not leave them for later. Grab the ones near the start even if it costs a second.
  • Missing three stars on a level? Replay it once you know the layout. Knowing where the gaps are is what turns two stars into three.

FAQ

Does it save my progress?

Yes. Unlocked levels, your best score and your stars on each level are stored in this browser. Clearing site data or switching to another device starts you from level 1.

Can I play on a phone or Chromebook?

Yes to both. On a Chromebook or computer use the arrow keys, and on a phone or tablet the game shows on-screen buttons for driving and tilting.

How do I get three stars?

Collect the pickups early and finish fast so you keep as much of the 1000-point time bonus as possible. Three stars need your score plus bonus to beat the level's target.
