About this game

Slope drops a ball onto a neon track that runs downhill forever, and all you do is steer. It starts gentle and keeps getting faster, so a run that felt easy at the top turns into a test of nerves within a minute. Runs are short, which makes it an easy pick for a quick break between study sessions.

Made by another developer and hosted on Brainlag. This game also connects to: Unity (game engine services), Y8 (game portal).

How to play

The ball rolls on its own and gravity does the accelerating; you only steer left and right. The track twists, narrows, splits into separate platforms with gaps between them and throws red blocks in your way. Touch a red obstacle or roll off the edge into the void and the run is over.

Your score is the distance you cover, so it climbs steadily as long as you stay alive. The longer you survive, the faster the ball goes, and the same move that was easy early on needs a much smaller touch later. When you crash you can start a new run straight away, and your best score is kept to beat next time.

Tips

  • Use short taps, not long holds. At speed, holding a direction for too long sends you across the whole track and off the other side.
  • Look ahead, not at the ball. Red blocks and gaps appear further down the slope well before you reach them, and picking a line early is what keeps you alive at high speed.
  • Keep near the middle when nothing is coming. It gives you room to swerve either way when an obstacle shows up late.
  • Don't fight the jumps. When the ball leaves the track over a gap, small corrections are enough; a hard steer in the air usually means landing on the edge or missing the next platform.
  • When the speed jumps, breathe and steer less. Most crashes late in a run come from over-correcting, not from obstacles you couldn't avoid.

FAQ

Does Slope save my best score?

Yes, your best score is kept in this browser so you have something to beat. Clearing site data, playing in a private window or switching device resets it.

Can I play on a phone or Chromebook?

Yes. It runs on phones and tablets with touch steering, and on a Chromebook with the keyboard. A keyboard gives the finest control, which matters once the ball is really flying.

Is there an end?

No. The track is endless and keeps speeding up, so the only goal is to go further than your last best run.
