Sprinter
Nice break. Ready to get back to it? Back to study
About this game
Sprinter puts you on the start line of the men's 100 metres, and your fingers are the athlete's legs. You hammer two keys as fast as you can to drive your runner down the track against seven rivals. A race lasts about ten seconds, so it is a great quick burst of energy between study sessions.
Made by another developer and hosted on Brainlag.
How to play
Pick a runner from one of eight countries, including Jamaica, the U.S.A., the U.K. and France, then choose a track to race on. When the race starts, the screen tells you to mash the left and right keys to boost your power. Every left press followed by a right press pushes your sprinter forward, and the faster you alternate, the faster you run.
Keep an eye on the energy bar while you run. When the race ends, you see your time, your finishing place and where everyone else came in. Finishing in the top three earns a gold, silver or bronze medal along with prize money.
Money is spent in the upgrades screen. There are two upgrade paths, each with four levels: Speed raises your runner's top speed and Energy gives you more stamina for the race. Your money, medals and upgrades are kept between visits, and you can reset your career if you want a fresh start.

Tips
- Rhythm beats panic. A steady, fast left-right-left-right pattern adds speed every time, while hitting the same key twice in a row adds nothing.
- Use two fingers on one hand or one finger from each hand, whichever lets you keep the alternation even. Many players find two index fingers easiest on a keyboard.
- Spend your first prize money on Speed. A higher top speed helps in every race, and it is what turns a bronze into a silver early on.
- Once the top speed upgrades are rolling, add Energy so you can hold your pace all the way to the line instead of fading.
- If you can't catch the leaders on a track, go back and earn money on one you already know, then return with better upgrades.
FAQ
Does it save my progress?
Yes. Your career, including medals, money and upgrades, is stored in this browser. Clearing site data or switching device loses it, and private browsing may stop it from saving at all.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. On touch screens you get left and right buttons to tap in turn. On a laptop or Chromebook, use the left and right arrow keys.
Why isn't my runner speeding up?
You must alternate. Pressing left over and over, or holding a key down, does not count. Make sure each press of one arrow is followed by a press of the other.
