Brainlag is a place to learn and revise for GCSEs, music theory and coding. This page is the short version of what your child does here and how we look after them.
What your child does here
- Short lessons, then practice questions with a worked answer for every one.
- Study tools: flashcards, a focus timer, a revision planner and calculators.
- Games and guides, each game with a clear label for what it contains.
- Everything works without an account. An account only saves their progress.
What is free, and what Plus adds
- Free: the first lessons in every course, every study tool, game and guide.
- Plus adds the rest of the lessons, topic tests, mock papers, and no ads.
- Plus is not on sale yet. Everything free stays free, and progress is kept.
Safety and under-18s
- There is no chat, no messaging and no public profile.
- Under 13s should use the tools without an account.
- In a class, a teacher sees only the name your child chooses and their work.
- We follow the UK Children's Code. Private settings are the default.
Paying, cancelling and refunds
- Paid plans are for adults, or a parent or guardian paying.
- Cancel a subscription any time from the account page.
- You have 14 days after the first payment to change your mind.
- A gift code cannot be cancelled once it has been sent.
