About this paper

Standard lined paper in the UK and Europe is 8 mm ruled with a margin. US notebooks use college ruled (7.1 mm, 9/32 inch) or wide ruled (8.7 mm, 11/32 inch). Narrow ruling fits more on a page; wide ruling is easier for big handwriting.

Printing it right

  • In the print dialog, set the scale to 100% or Actual size. Fit to page shrinks the page and the spacing with it.
  • Choose the same paper size in the print dialog as on this page, A4 or US Letter.
  • Turn off headers and footers in the print dialog if your browser adds a date or web address.
  • The PDF keeps every line as a vector, so it stays sharp at any zoom and prints the same on any printer.
