About this paper

Manuscript paper with 12 staves is the classic layout; fewer, larger staves are easier for beginners and theory exercises. Switch the staff type to a piano grand staff or guitar tab without leaving the page.

Printing it right

  • In the print dialog, set the scale to 100% or Actual size. Fit to page shrinks the page and the spacing with it.
  • Choose the same paper size in the print dialog as on this page, A4 or US Letter.
  • Turn off headers and footers in the print dialog if your browser adds a date or web address.
  • The PDF keeps every line as a vector, so it stays sharp at any zoom and prints the same on any printer.
